Esomeprazole is also sometimes used to treat post-surgical pain, which is a post-operative pain syndrome caused by a tumor in the soft tissue. Take esomeprazole by mouth as directed by your doctor, usually once a day. The usual dosage is 1 tablet once a day. Take as directed by your doctor, usually once a day. Esomeprazole should be taken with food to reduce stomach upset. Do not take more than one tablet in a day. Esomeprazole should be taken at the same time each day, even if you take it at the same time. Esomeprazole is a proton pump inhibitor. It works by reducing the amount of acid produced in the stomach. This is effective for relieving symptoms of acid regurgitation, such as regurgitation, or to reduce pain and/or regurgitation, such as post-surgical pain.
